Chris & Lisa's Wedding

As promised, below you will find some pictures of the wedding designs I did for Chris and Lisa's wedding earlier this year. >> Table Seating Tree... I spraypainted a huge branch with white, decorated it with turqoise paper flowers and ribbons and hung the table seating charts from it. Guests enjoyed looking at the photos of Chris & Lisa (placed on the front of each table chart) whilst looking for their names.

 

And with all of that, it turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous wedding with a very deserving happy couple! May you both enjoy MANY many MANY more happy years together

Sonja & Johan's wedding

Above is a wedding invite I designed a while ago. The colour scheme was black, silver and grey - nice and ellegent! The invite functions like a mini booklet and was closed with diamante buckle and black ribbon. Upon opening the invite you would see some black and white pics of the bride and groom on the left, the official invite in the center and gift, reception and r.s.v.p details in the pocket on the right. The invite really looked beautiful!

Kathy's Beauty Salon

Kathy Ford approached me to design a logo and price list for her beauty salon and I must say I love the way it turned out. For all of the ladies out there... if ever you need a wax, Kathy is the lady to see! She has an obsession with creating perfectly shaped eyebrows and I always leave looking like a million dollars so take my word for it!

Mini Mozart Music Program

Earlier this year I was asked to design a logo for the Ashby Music Academy. Since then they have come back and asked that I design a special logo for their Mini Mozart Music program which is a special music program for the little ones. The logo needed to include a character design which children could relate to and I was asked to keep the logo fun and playful - similar to the Ashby logo that was designed. I llllooooOOOOovvvveeee character design and had such fun creating this little dude with his Mozart wig and instruments. The logo has been approved and it seems that both the moms and children love the design.

Booklet design & layout

I was tasked with the layout and design of Buffalo City's "End of an Era" booklet in which they marked the end of an era as a municipality with the city being awarded the status of a metropolitan. My focus for the design was to keep it clean, modern and image driven.

Chris & Lisa: "thank you" postcards

I enjoyed every moment of working on Chris and Lisa's wedding. I was given the opportunity to design literally everything and it was awesome pulling the vintage theme right accross the wedding. I designed everything from the invites (both printed and digital), hymn sheets, seating cards, table numbers, name tags, thank you tea tags, guest booklets and "meant to be" honey pots right through to the thank you postcards.

This was a wedding I'll remember for a long time to come!!

Music Academy Logo

Nicola Knott approached me to design a logo for her music academy that runs various music programs for children. She wanted something that was playful and bright that would appeal to children. I had so much fun and enjoyed creating this design! It was nice to work with bright colours and vectors. The response has been great and it seems like the children do enjoy the new look so thanks to Nicola for allowing me to be a part of her music world!

African inspiration...

I came accross this beautiful design and couldn't help but share it. The illustration style and colours used are right up my alley and I couldn't help but have a "proudly South African" moment. I'm sure you'll agree the design is AWESOME!

Hylton Warburton had the following to say about his design: " I illustrated and designed an identity, series of posters and container graphics, as well as various POS elements for Tslops, a brand developed by Tsonga shoes. Tslops is job-creating initiative, which provides rural women with the means to run a small business producing shoes for Tslop"

Information Graphics

I've always been interested in information graphics given that generally speaking we are surrounded by such boring displays of stats. They fill our work spaces and nobody ends up bothering to read them because frankly they just seem so boring! Wouldn't it be awesome of people started making use of designers to showcase these stats... it is called information graphics people and would have people lining up to see what you are showcasing (well if it were to be designed nicely). Here are a few samples of really nice designs I've found online. My apologies for not listing the sources but I've lost track of where they came from.

I enjoyed designing this poster and was inspired by type at the time so decided to make it a purely typographic design with emphasis relying on colour.
